To coincide with the exhibition "The Majesty of All Under Heaven: The Eternal Realm of China's First Emperor", the Hong Kong Museum of History has organised more than 20 programmes to be held during the exhibition period to enhance visitors' knowledge of and interest in the exhibition. The programmes include lectures, workshops, video programmes, public guided tours and book displays.
A series of talks on terracotta figures and the Qin dynasty to be conducted by a museum curator and scholars will be held on Saturdays in August and September. Details are as follows:

The lectures, to be conducted in Cantonese, will be held from 3pm to 5pm at the museum's Lecture Hall. Admission is free and limited seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition, fun-filled workshops have been organised for visitors of all ages. Participants can experience the fun of wearing a warrior's outfit, making clay warriors and playing the role of an archaeologist to discover terracotta figures on their own. Details are as follows:

Date: Every Thursday and Saturday (from now until September 29)
Time: 4pm to 5pm
The above workshops will be held at the Lecture Hall or the Activity Room of the museum. The quota for each workshop is 20 on a first-come, first-served basis, except for "The Warriors' Fitting Room", which has no admission limit. Admission fees are required.
Video programmes on the terracotta figures and the mausoleum of China's first emperor are also available at the museum's Lecture Hall every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 1pm until September 30. The programmes, produced by China Central Television, are narrated in Putonghua and have Chinese subtitles. Admission is free and limited seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Free guided tours in Cantonese will be provided to visitors daily. English and Putonghua sessions will be also available on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Advance booking is not required and the schedule will be announced at the museum.
In addition, the Hong Kong Museum of History is collaborating with the Hong Kong Central Library to organise book displays and storytelling sessions related to the subject of the exhibition, extending the message further to different communities and groups, and fostering public interest in history and culture.

"The Majesty of All Under Heaven: The Eternal Realm of China's First Emperor" runs from July 25 until November 26. It is jointly presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, and co-organised by the Hong Kong Museum of History and the Shaanxi Cultural Heritage Promotion Center with the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust as the sole sponsor. The exhibition is one of the highlight programmes celebrating the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
