It has come to the attention of the Legislative Council Select Committee to Study Mr Leung Chun-ying's Involvement as a Member of the Jury in the West Kowloon Reclamation Concept Plan Competition and Related Issues (the Select Committee) that a local newspaper published a report today (June 21) concerning the work of the Select Committee. The report appeared to have disclosed the contents of the Select Committee's draft report and details of the Select Committee's internal deliberations. The Select Committee expresses deep regret about the matter. In order not to prejudice the impartiality of the work of the Select Committee and bring unfairness to the witnesses concerned, the Select Committee hereby makes this statement for the purpose of clarification.
