Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City this morning (April 14) in which a 36-year-old expatriate woman and a 6-year-old girl died.
At about 8.51am, a mud truck driven by a 43-year-old man was travelling northbound along La Salle Road. When turning left into Lancashire Road, it reportedly hit the 36-year-old woman and 6-year-old girl who were crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman and the girl were certified dead at scene.
The truck driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is still being detained for further enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West, are under way.
