Police are investigating a homicide and suicide case today (April 13) in which a 30-year-old man and his 26-year-old wife died.
At 3.20am, Police received a report that a 30-year-old man was standing dangerously on the roof of Chi Mei House at Choi Hung Estate in Wong Tai Sin. Police officers sped to the scene and located the man on the roof. Members of the Police Negotiation Cadre also attended scene to persuade the man to return to safe position. At about 6.30am, the man suddenly jumped from height and was certified dead by the ambulancemen at the scene.
After investigation, Police located the deceased’s 26-year-old wife lying unconscious inside a hotel room at Kweilin Street in Sham Shui Po. Sustaining injuries on her neck, the woman was certified dead by ambulancemen at the scene.
Initial investigations believed that the man committed suicide in Wong Tai Sin after killing his wife in Sham Shui Po.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted on the deceased to ascertain the cause of their death.
Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Sham Shui Po are under way.
