The Government today (April 13) released the Report on Manpower Projection to 2018 (MP2018), which presents detailed projection findings on the manpower supply and requirements of our economy up to 2018.
MP2018 has assessed the broad trends in the future manpower supply and requirements of our economy at the macro level, as well as the potential manpower balance at different education levels, up to 2018. It provides reference data for bureaux/departments and other stakeholders in conducting further studies and policy formulation.
The key findings of MP2018 were presented to the Legislative Council Panel on Manpower on February 16 this year.
MP2018 has been uploaded onto the Labour and Welfare Bureau's website (www.lwb.gov.hk). Members of the public can access the report direct at www.lwb.gov.hk/report/mp2018_en.pdf .
