Following is the speech by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Stephen Lam, at the Dragon and Lion Dance Extravaganza held in Central this afternoon (January 1):

I see that we have some members of the expatriate community and friends from overseas in that corner. On behalf of Hong Kong, we would like to welcome you to this occasion. This Lion and Dragon Dance Extravaganza is an annual event. We are going to set a new Guinness Book of Record here today, with 88 Dragons and about 2,000 athletes having this Dragon dance parade for your enjoyment. So please come back to Hong Kong every year for this and other occasions.
