Police today (December 31) appealed for information about a serious traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok this afternoon in which ten persons were injured.
At about 2.40pm, a public light bus (PLB) driven by a 67-year-old man was travelling along Kwun Tong road eastbound. When approaching near Choi Shek Lane, the PLB reportedly lost control and rammed into a bus stand on the pavement.
The PLB driver, seven PLB passengers and two pedestrians, aged between 2 and 90, were injured in the accident. They were rushed to United Christian Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital respectively, in which a two-year-old boy and a 90-year-old woman sustained serious injuries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East, are under way.
