Police are investigating a murder case in which a middle-aged foreign woman was killed in Tsuen Wan this morning (August 19).
At about 6.45am, Police received a report that a woman, aged around 40 and with a height of about 1.6m, was found lying unconsciously on the shore near 44 Castle Peak Road, Tsuen Wan. Officers arrived the scene and located the woman. She was certified dead by ambulancemen at scene.
The woman's identity was yet to be confirmed as no identity document was found.
Some clothing and personal belongings were found at scene.
Initial examinations revealed that several cut wounds were found on the woman's throat and suspicious circumstances were detected. A post-mortem will be conducted tomorrow (August 20) to ascertain the cause of death.
Investigations by Regional Crime Unit of New Territories South are underway.
