Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tuen Mun this morning (August 9) in which a 41-year-old woman was killed.
About 10.20am, a private car driven by the 41-year-old woman was travelling along Castle Peak Road towards Yuen Long. When it turned into Yick Yuen Road, the private car reportedly rammed into a Light Rail Transit train which was also travelling along Castle Peak Road towards Yuen Long.
The private car driver sustained serious head injury and was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital, where she was certified dead at 11.09am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are under way.
