The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:
To enable people living in the New Territories' north-west districts to donate blood conveniently, the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) will open a new blood donor centre in Yuen Long. The new centre is located at Units 704-705, 7/F, Yuen Long Landmark, 115-127 Castle Peak Road, Yuen Long.
The new Blood Donor Centre will commence service this Friday (July 29), with service hours from noon to 7pm from Mondays to Saturdays and from 1pm to 8pm on Sundays and public holidays. Donors giving blood at the new centre during the opening period will be presented with a cute "Blood Donation Phone Accessory" while stocks last. We would like to invite the public to come and enjoy giving blood at the new Yuen Long Blood Donor Centre.
Members of the public who are aged 16 to 65, weighing over 41 kilogrammes and healthy are eligible to be blood donors. For the address and service hours of BTS blood donor centres or blood donation enquiries, the public can call our hotline at 2710 1234 or visit our website at www.ha.org.hk/rcbts.
