The Urban Renewal Authority has moved a 40-year-old Chinese Banyan tree from the Yuet Wah Street bus station to Yuet Wah Park to conserve it, as part of the Kwun Tong redevelopment project.
At 300 tonnes, moving the tree required tremendous effort. The move was completed early this (May 1) morning.
