Response to media questions on cargo vessel arriving in HK for radiation check

In response to media questions, a spokesman for the Security Bureau said today (March 25) that the government has received an enquiry about a cargo vessel which has departed Japan earlier on arriving in Hong Kong this morning for a radiation check for its crew members.
The Marine Department has directly contacted the master of the vessel this morning. The master said all crew members were healthy and no radiation check would be required.
It is understood that the vessel has berthed in Busan, Korea and a number of mainland ports after departing Yokohama, Japan on March 11.
