Following is a transcript of remarks by the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, at a media session in Beijing today (March 7):
Reporter: Did Mr Xi express the concern that large number of people turned out for the protest and the public anger, the public outcry over the Government Budget?
Chief Executive: Hong Kong is a totally free place. Yesterday evening the Vice President invited me and the Chief Executive of Macau for dinner. It was a cordial function and we did not have any serious exchange. But before dinner I did report to him and explain to him the latest economic, social and political situations in Hong Kong. Our conversation was of a general character. We did not discuss special, specific incident.
