Amendments to dualling works of Hiram's Highway and improvement works to local access to Ho Chung gazetted

     The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (February 11) on the proposed amendments to the dualling works of Hiram's Highway between Clear Water Bay Road and Marina Cove; and improvement works to local access to Ho Chung.

     The proposed amendments are as follows:

(i) revision and realignment of sections of the originally proposed noise barrier and construction of a section of earth bund near Hiram's Villas;

(ii) revision and realignment of a section of the proposed footpath near the junction between Hiram's Highway and Ho Chung Road, consequential revision of the associated proposed temporary closure and reconstruction of a section of the existing footpath, and consequential deletion of the proposed permanent closure of a section of the existing footpath;

(iii) revision and realignment of a section of the originally proposed noise barrier near Marina Cove; and

(iv) other ancillary amendments, including resumption of land lot, revision of the area of land lots to be resumed, and revision of the originally proposed ancillary works including landscaping, drainage, and lightings.

     The amendment plans and scheme are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

     Any person who wishes to object to the proposed amendments should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th Floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Central, Hong Kong, on or before April 12.
