Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tai Po early this morning (December 31) in which a 49-year-old motorcyclist was killed.
About 4.45am, a motorcycle driven by the 49-year-old man was travelling along Tolo Highway towards Tai Po. When approaching outside the Science Park, the motorcycle reportedly lost control and rammed into roadside railings.
The motorcyclist sustained mutliple injuries and was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital in unconscious state, where he was later certified dead at 5.31am.
Investigations will be conducted by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North.
