Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po this morning (December 26) in which a 63-year-old woman died.
About 5.27am, a public light bus (PLB) driven by a 47-year-old man was travelling along Lai Chi Kok Road towards Mong Kok. When approaching the junction with Yen Chow Street, it reportedly hit the 63-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
The woman sustained severe head injury and was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital where she was certified dead at 2.26pm.
The case will be handed over to the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West.
