Police are investigating a traffic accident in Central this morning (December 11) in which a 72-year-old man died.
About 6.20am, a private car driven by a 29-year-old man was travelling westbound Connaught Road Central. When reaching outside 30-32 Connaught Road Central, it reportedly hit the 72-year-old man who was crossing the road.
The man sustained serious limbs and head injuries and was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital where he was certified dead at 6.58am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are underway.
