Hongkong Post announces holiday arrangement for Christmas

     Hongkong Post announced today (December 1) that the latest date for posting Christmas mail for local delivery before Christmas Day is Wednesday, December 22.  Postings after this date may not be delivered in time because of seasonal work pressure.  Members of the public are advised to post as early as possible in order to avoid a last minute rush.

     During the Christmas Holidays (i.e. December 25 to 27), there will be no mail delivery.  The General Post Office and the Airport Post Office will open from December 25 to 27, from 9am to 5pm and 8am to 5pm respectively.  The Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office will open on December 26 (Sunday) from 9am to 2pm.  All other post offices will be closed during the holidays.  One mail collection will be arranged on December 27 for all street posting boxes except those on outlying islands and in remote areas.

     To ensure that greetings sent by air mail are delivered before Christmas, members of the public are reminded to post their mail on or before the latest dates of posting listed below:
