Appeal for information on Tsuen Wan murder (with photo)

     Police today (November 30) appealed for information on a case in which a female body was found in Tsuen Wan on Sunday (November 28). The case is reclassified as murder.

     About 10.45am on Sunday, Police received a report that the body of a woman was found on a slope near a barbeque site at Shing Mun Country Park.

     The deceased, aged between 40 and 50, was about 1.6 metres tall, of plump built. She had a pointed face, light complexion and short hair. The body was located without any clothing or identity document and was wearing a necklace with a red stone-inset pendant, five bracelets and an earring. Initial investigations revealed suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

     An autopsy conducted this morning showed that the woman died because her skull was hit by a hard object.

     Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Tsuen Wan are underway.

     Police urged anyone who knows the deceased or who has any information about the case to contact the investigating officers at 2417 5313, 2417 5266 or 2417 5200, or inform any police station.
