Officers of Police New Territories North (NTN) Region today (November 23) arrested 17 more men in an operation codenamed "Blueday" to combat fraudulent claims of Traffic Accident Victim Assistance (TAVA).
In addition to the 44 men and four women arrested earlier, Police have today (November 23) further arrested 17 men aged from 29 to 52 for fraud.
All 17 persons arrested today are still being detained for further enquiries and the 48 persons arrested earlier were released on bail pending further investigation.
Police believe that the fraud syndicate has been neutralised.
The operation is still underway.
