Police are investigating a traffic accident in Sha Tin early this morning (November 17) in which a 28-year-old man died.
About midnight, a taxi driven by a 51-year-old man and a private car driven by the 28-year-old man were travelling in sequence along Tolo Highway towards Kowloon. When approaching near Chak Cheung Street, the private car reportedly crashed with the taxi and then left. The private car was later found rammed into roadside railings near Ma Liu Shui.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the private car driver was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital where he was certified dead at 12.52am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic New Territories South, are under way.
