Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate a ceremony for the Remembrance Day to be held at the Cenotaph of Statue Square in Central on Sunday (November 14).
The special traffic arrangements to be implemented are as follows:
1. The following roads will be closed from 7am till mid-night:
(a) A section of Chater Road between Pedder Street and Jackson Road; and
(b) A section of Ice House Street between Des Voeux Road Central and Connaught Road Central.
2. The following roads will be closed from 9am till noon:
(a) A section of westbound Chater Road between Murray Road and Jackson Road;
(b) A section of eastbound Chater Road between Jackson Road and Club Street; and
(c) Jackson Road.
3. A section of westbound Connaught Road Central between Harcourt Road and Pedder Street will be closed to traffic during the two minutes' silence at 11am.
4. During the above road closures, the following traffic diversion will be implemented:
(a) Traffic along Lambeth Walk will be diverted to Murray Road from 9am till noon; and
(b) Traffic along westbound Harcourt Road will be diverted to southbound Cotton Tree flyover during the two minutes' silence at 11am.
5. Bus stops on westbound Connaught Road Central near the Cenotaph will be suspended from 10am to noon.
