The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (November 12) on the MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station Northern Subway and Entrance Modification Works, which have been authorised by the Chief Executive in Council.
The works include construction of an underground pedestrian subway underneath Nathan Road and modification of the existing MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station Entrance A1, including the installation of new escalators and a lift.
Upon its completion, the works will reduce current congestion at Entrances A1 and B, and at the vertical links between the station concourse and platforms, as well as provide convenient and all-weather access for passengers moving to and from the northern area of the station.
