Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Wan Chai this afternoon (November 8) in which an 82-year-old man died.
About 2.58pm, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 35-year-old man was travelling along Hennessy Road westbound. When approaching near No. 274 Hennessy Road, it reportedly hit the 82-year-old man who was crossing the road.
The 82-year-old man sustained severe head injury and was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital where he was certified dead at 6.22pm.
Investigations will be handed over to the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island.
