Police appeal for information on serious traffic accident in Castle Peak

     Police today (May 12) appealed for information about a serious traffic accident in Castle Peak this morning in which a 13-year-old boy was seriously injured.

     About 8am today, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 31-year-old man was travelling along Pui To Road towards Tsun Wen Road. Upon reaching the junction with Ho Pong Street, the LGV knocked down a 13-year-old boy who was crossing the road.

     The boy sustained serious head and limb injuries and was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital for medical treatment.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North, are underway.

     Anyone who saw the accident or who has any information is urged to contact the investigating officers on 3661 3858 or 2677 6299.
