A 24-year-old man was sentenced to an imprisonment of nine years and eight months at the Court of First Instance for trafficking in dangerous drugs today (May 6).
The Court heard that on March 7 last year, officers of Narcotics Bureau conducted an operation to raid a premises on Yau Tong Estate in Kwun Tong and arrested the 24-year-old man. About 400 grams of cocaine worth about $420,000 and some paraphernalia for manufacturing cocaine were seized.
The man was charged with one count of trafficking in dangerous drugs. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to an imprisonment of nine years and eight months in the Court of First Instance today.
