SHA saddened by the passing of former IOC President

The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, today (April 21) was deeply saddened to learn the death of the former President of the International Olympic Committee, Mr Juan Antonio Samaranch.
"Mr Samaranch had dedicated his life to sport development. With his extraordinary vision, Mr Samaranch had successfully built up the Olympic Games of the modern era. During his presidency, he had made invaluable contribution to the fostering of Olympism - unity, friendship, and fair play. We will all miss him," Mr Tsang said.
