Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Pat Heung today morning (March 8) in which a 30-year-old man was killed.
About 12:10am today, a private car driven by a 30-year-old man was travalling along Pat Heung Road towards Pat Heung. When approaching near Ma On Kong, the private car reportedly had a head-on collsion with a taxi driven by a 53-year-old man travalling along the opposite direction.
After the accident, the private car driver was trapped inside the compartment and was rescued by firemen. Both drivers were sent to Pok Oi Hospital where the 30-year-old man was later certified dead at 12.59am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic New Territories North, are underway.
