Following is the transcript of remarks at the media session by the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, in Beijing today (March 5):
Reporter: (Constitutional reform)
Chief Executive: I have been meeting national leaders over the last two days. Earlier today, I met President Hu and the Premier as well and we had a short chat. We are arranging other meetings as well. We are in a process, as you know, of analysing the views we have collected on constitutional reform, and I am sure we will be putting all our best effort to see whether there is a middle ground for us to put across a package which will be acceptable both to the Hong Kong people and the legislature at large. And this requires compromise. This is a reasonable, rational step to take.
