Job seekers are welcome to visit the Tung Chung Job Fair 2010 to be held from tomorrow (March 4) to March 5, where more than 1,000 vacancies will be offered by some 25 participating corporations.
The job fair aims to provide job opportunities for people living in Tung Chung and promote employment in the district. A number of locally based job vacancies from various industries including catering, property management and aircraft engineering, which are suitable for people with different academic backgrounds, will be available.
The job fair will be held at Fu Tung Shopping Centre in Fu Tung Estate on March 4, and at Yat Tung Estate Lai Shuk Ying Memorial Plaza on March 5. The opening hours are from 10am to 5pm.
Apart from an employment services exhibition and on-the-spot interviews, job seekers can also attend thematic seminars giving information on various industries and interview skills at the fair.
The event is jointly organised by the Islands District Office, Hong Kong Outlying Islands Women's Association, Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Tung Chung Integrated Services, Young Men's Christian Association of Hong Kong and Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council Tung Chung Integrated Services Centre.
Participants will each receive a souvenir on a first-come-first-served basis.
