********************************************

Following is the transcript of remarks by the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, at a media session after inspecting the building collapse in Ma Tau Wai Road this afternoon (January 29):

Chief Executive: I met some of them just now. Naturally they are frightened, scared, worried. I spoke with them. My colleagues from the Social Welfare Department and Home Affairs Department are talking to them. Definitely we will look after their accommodation tonight and whatever is needed to ensure they have alternative accommodation and will look after their livelihood. There are also ethnic minorities as well. We will treat them as if they are part of us and we will make sure all of them are comforted and looked after. They are frightened and so are all of us. We will do whatever we can to ensure that this sort of accident will not happen again. This is a real tragedy.

Reporter: (Inaudible)

Chief Executive:  No casualties are acceptable. We will do whatever we can.
