List of doctors providing subsidised human swine influenza vaccines uploaded
***********************************************************

A list of private doctors enrolled in the Human Swine Influenza Vaccination Subsidy Scheme (HSIVSS) was now available on the Centre for Health Protection's website (www.chp.gov.hk) for public inspection, a spokesman for the Department of Health said today (December 23).

The list comprises 917 doctor practices who have indicated that they will provide subsidised human swine influenza (HSI) vaccination to chronic patients and pregnant women, children aged from six months to less than six years and elderly aged 65 or above.

"The names, clinic addresses and telephone numbers of the doctors as well as the fees charged after deducting the government subsidy of $129 per dose of HSI vaccine are included in the list," the spokesman said.

"Doctors participating in the scheme will display the scheme logo and fee information at their clinics.

"Subsidised vaccinations will begin from next Monday (December 28)," he said.

So far, more than 630 private doctors have ordered HSI vaccines from the Department of Health.

Since the availability of the vaccines in enrolled doctors' clinics may change from time to time depending on their actual consumption, the spokesman strongly advised people to contact the clinics before consultation to enquire about vaccine availability and the fees to be paid.

The list of enrolled doctors with HSIVSS will be updated as more private doctors join the scheme.
