The Government announced today (June 9) that the Chief Executive had appointed Mr Nicky Lo Kar-chun as a member of the Advisory Committee on Post-service Employment of Civil Servants for a term of one year with effect from June 9, 2009.
Mr Lo has extensive experience serving on civil service-related advisory bodies. He is currently Chairman of the Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service and a member of the Standing Committee on Directorate Salaries and Conditions of Service. He is also a member of the Public Service Commission. Mr Lo had served as a member of the Standing Committee on Disciplined Services Salaries and Conditions of Service between January 2001 and December 2006.
The Advisory Committee advises the Government on matters relating to the post-service employment of civil servants. The Advisory Committee is chaired by the Hon Justice Pang Kin-kee. Other serving members of the Advisory Committee are Mr James Edward Thompson, Ms Marina Wong Yu-pok, Mr Yeung Ka-sing and Mr Simon Ip Sik-on.
