Hospital Authority announces appointment of Hospital Chief Executives

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

     The Hospital Authority (HA) today (January 29) announced the following Hospital Chief Executives (HCE) appointments.

     Dr Cissy Yu, previously HCE of Fung Yiu King Hospital (FYKH) and MacLehose Medical Rehabilitation Centre (MMRC), is appointed as the HCE of Tung Wah Hospital. Dr Yu is a Specialist in Community Medicine. Her vacated post has been taken up by Dr Nelson Wat Ming-sun whose appointment as HCE of FYKH, MMRC and Duchess of Kent Children's Hospital was announced earlier. Both of them assumed duty on January 1.

     Mr Tsang Wing-wah, previously Department Operations Manager (Orthopaedics & Traumatology) of Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital, is appointed as the HCE of Cheshire Home Chung Hom Kok (CCH) and St John Hospital. Mr Tsang is currently General Manager (Nursing Services) of Ruttonjee & Tang Shiu Kin Hospitals and CCH. In addition to various nursing qualifications, he also holds a Master of Business Administration in Health Services Management. Mr Tsang will assume his new position on February 9.
