The Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, will leave Hong Kong this evening (January 29) for a visit to Davos, Switzerland.
In Davos, Mr So will join other trade ministers at an informal ministerial meeting on the Doha Round of multilateral trade negotiations under the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The meeting is expected to discuss the way forward of the negotiations and to inject political impetus into the process with a view to moving towards an early and successful conclusion of the Doha Round.
The meeting, organised on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, will be on January 31.
Mr So will return to Hong Kong on Sunday (February 1).
