The Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, accompanied by the Director of Social Welfare, Mr Stephen Fisher, went to Fu Shan Public Mortuary this morning to offer his condolences to the families of the victims of the traffic accident that happened this morning on Castle Peak Road in Lok Ma Chau.
Mr Cheung said, "I am saddened by the news of the fatal traffic accident this morning. I would like to offer my most sincere condolences to the victims' families. Social workers and clinical psychologists of the Social Welfare Department are now providing counselling service to them. The Social Welfare Department will do all it can to assist those in need, including financial support and arrangement of burial matters."
