Robbery victims urged to come forward (with photo)

     People living in Yuen Long District who have recently been robbed but did not report the incident, are urged to call Police.

     The appeal has been made following the arrest of a 24-year-old man outside a convenience store at Hop Yick Plaza, on Mau Tan Street, Yuen Long yesterday (January 19).

     The suspect possessed a toy gun and acting suspiciously outside the convenience store before he was arrested by patrolling officers.

     Police also found two knifes and some suspected stolen properties including, clothes, several Hong Kong identity cards and bank passbooks which belong to other persons after a house search in the suspect's resident in Tin Shui Wai, Yuen Long.

     Police investigation revealed that the suspect might be in connection with at least two recent robbery cases in Yuen Long.

     District Crime Squad, Yuen Long District officers are investigating the case.

     Police appealed to victims who have been robbed by culprit with pistol like object and have not reported the case to contact Police on 2473 8227.
