Xia Mian Guan, the well known noodle restaurant from Shanghai, today (December 12) announced the grand opening of its new restaurant outlet at Telford Plaza, Kowloon Bay.
Established in 1999, Xia Mian Guan specialises in traditional types of Shanghai noodles. The new restaurant outlet will follow the same principle that Xia Mian Guan has adopted in Shanghai by offering the genuine flavour of Shanghai cuisine to diners. Award-winning chefs from Shanghai will supervise the food and service quality at the new outlet.

At present, Xia Mian Guan operates two branches in Shanghai. The new restaurant in Kowloon Bay is the company's second directly-owned outlet in Hong Kong.

The first edition of Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau was released last week. A total of 202 restaurants in Hong Kong were recommended by Michelin, with 22 being graded with star awards, including the world's first three-star Chinese restaurant.
