Ballots drawn for Surplus HOS Flats Phase 4 (with photo)

The following is issued on behalf of the Housing Authority:

     Ballots were drawn today (October 9) for the sale of Surplus Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) Flats Phase 4 to determine applicants' priority in flat selection.

     The Chairman of the Housing Authority's Subsidised Housing Committee, Professor Anthony Cheung Bing-leung, officiated at the ballot drawing.

     During the application period from September 10 to September 24, 11,000 applications were received, of which 8,600 were White Forms (WF) and 2,400 were Green Forms (GF).

     The Housing Authority offers 3,221 flats in this phase, including about 2,200 unsold flats in Tung Tao Court Stage II, Shau Kei Wan; King Hin Court, Wong Tai Sin; and Kam Fung Court, Ma On Shan, and about 900 scattered resale flats in Tin Fu Court, Tin Shui Wai, and nine other courts throughout the territory.  A wide selection of flats of different sizes, layout designs and prices at various locations are available under this sales exercise to cater for the needs of different families.

     The HOS Sales Unit of the Housing Department will be sending out notifications for flat selection, along with the sales brochures, price lists and other relevant information to eligible applicants in batches according to the ballot results.

     Flat selection will begin at the end of October and about one week before that, the on-site show flats in Tung Tao Court, King Hin Court, Kam Fung Court and Tin Fu Court will be re-opened.  For the returned flats, which will be sold on an "as-is" basis, applicants can browse the Housing Authority/Housing Department web site (ww.housingauthority.gov.hk) to view the reference photos showing the internal conditions of individual flats. Arrangements will also be made for applicants to view the returned flat they have selected before signing the Agreement of Sales and Purchase.    

     The ballot results (please refer to attached file ) and the priority list of the applicants will be made available from tomorrow on the Housing Authority/Housing Department web site. They will also be posted at the authority's Customer Service Centre in Lok Fu, all public housing estate offices and Public Enquiry Service Centres of the Home Affairs Department for public inspection. Applicants may also call the Housing Authority sales hotline 2712 8000 for any enquiries.
