Chief Executive to visit Shanghai

    The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, will visit Shanghai at the end of May to call on the Party Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Mr Yu Zhengsheng, and the Shanghai Mayor, Mr Han Zheng, to strengthen links and enhance co-operation between the two places.

    During his stay, Mr Tsang will also visit the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination and learn more about the development of creative industries in the city.

    Accompanying Mr Tsang on the visit will be the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam; the Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Norman Chan; the Permanent Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Joshua Law; the Private Secretary to the Chief Executive, Mr Kenneth Mak; the Information Co-ordinator, Mr Andy Ho; and the Assistant Director (Media), Mr Vic Yau.

    Mr Tsang will leave for Shanghai on May 30 and return to Hong Kong on June 1. During his absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, will be Acting Chief Executive.
