The Leisure and Cultural Services Department says the outdoor heated pool at the Fanling Swimming Pool has been temporarily closed for cleaning and superchlorination following the discovery of a small amount of faeces in the pool.
As the outdoor heated pool is the only pool open at the Fanling Swimming Pool, the venue is now temporarily closed.
Since today is the weekly cleaning day of Fanling Swimming Pool, cleaning will be conducted until 1pm today when the venue will be reopened to the public.
The department appeals to swimmers to be considerate and to keep our swimming pools clean. They are advised not to swim after a full meal and should use the toilet facilities if necessary before swimming.
