Special arrangements will be made at Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront Leisure and Cultural Services Department facilities to facilitate the Launching Ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay in Hong Kong today (May 2). Details of the special opening hours are as follows:
The foyer, restaurants, catering outlets, Performing Arts Gift Shop and URBTIX box office of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre (HKCC) will be temporarily closed from 9am to 11am today. Members of the public wishing to use URBTIX may use the nearby URBTIX outlet at Tom Lee Cameron Lane Branch; the URBTIX Internet ticketing services at www.urbtix.hk ; or the telephone ticketing services at 2111 5999 during the temporary closure.
Hirers of the HKCC facilities and guests going to the Marriage Registry can continue to access the respective venues via designated admission points. Staff will be on site to assist.
The Hong Kong Museum of Art will be temporarily closed from 10am to 11am today.
The Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade and the Avenue of Stars will be temporarily closed from 10.30am to 5pm today, while the catering outlet at the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade will be temporarily closed from 2pm to 5pm today.
Moreover, the Piazza of the HKCC will be closed in phases today. Signs will be put up on site to advise members of the public.
