Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tuen Mun this morning (April 20) in which a 71-year-old woman was killed.
About 11.18am, a light goods vehicle driven by a 31-year-old man was travelling along Tin Hau Road southbound. When turning right into Hung Cheung Road westbound, the vehicle reportedly hit the 71-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
The woman's upper body sustained serious injuries and was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital. She was later certified dead at 12.50pm.
Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic New Territories North.
