CS visits Po Leung Kuk (with photos)
************************************

The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, today (March 31) visited Po Leung Kuk to learn more about the residential child-care services provided by Po Leung Kuk house and to visit the children and teenagers living there.

Accompanied by the Chairman of Po Leung Kuk, Mrs Angel Chan Lau, Mr Tang toured the house and was briefed on its services.  The house provides care services to children not properly taken care of by their families.  Through counselling, recreation and development activities, the house assists the children in their healthy development with a view to reuniting with their families and integrating into the society.

Mr Tang chatted with the children and played games with them.

Noting that classes resumed today, Mr Tang was pleased to see that the house maintained a hygienic environment.  He also reminded the children to observe personal hygiene and to immediately inform the house management if they fell sick.

"I am glad to see that the house has created a caring environment for the children.  I believe that children living here will grow up well and give back to the society," Mr Tang said.
