Applications for the Sale of Surplus Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) Flats Phase 3 will close on Wednesday (March 12).
Acting Assistant Director of Housing (Housing Subsidies), Miss Rosaline Wong Lai-ping, reminded eligible applicants, "A wide selection of flats including 2,397 unsold flats in Tung Tao Court Stage I in Shau Kei Wan, Lei On Court in Lam Tin and Kam Fung Court in Ma On Shan as well as 655 resale flats distributed across various districts is on offer to cater for the needs of different families."
Miss Wong said eligible people who wanted to become flat owners by way of the HOS should not miss this opportunity.
Sales information and application forms are now available at the Housing Authority (HA) Customer Service Centre, public housing estate offices, Sham Shui Po Housing Information Centre and Public Enquiry Service Centres of the Home Affairs Department. Application forms can also be downloaded from the Housing Authority/Housing Department (HA/HD) website, where the sales information was also available.
Eligible applicants have to submit their application forms and necessary documents to the respective estate offices or the HA Customer Service Centre on or before March 12. For applications sent by post, the date of the postal chop on the envelope will be regarded as the date of submission.
Miss Wong expects ballots to be drawn later this month to determine the flat selection sequence of applicants while flat selection would begin in early April. After the ballot, some returned flats designated by the HA at Charming Garden in Mong Kok, Lai Yan Court in Lai Chi Kok and Ning Fung Court in Kwai Chung will be available for applicants' viewing by appointment. During the flat selection process, prospective buyers who have successfully selected a resale flat can visit the flat before signing the Agreement for Sale and Purchase. The on-site show flats at Tung Tao Court, Lei On Court and Kam Fung Court will be closed temporarily after Wednesday but will be re-opened about one week before flat selection.
