Improvement works for Ping Ha Road gazetted

    The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (March 7) on road improvement works for the Ha Tsuen section of Ping Ha Road between Ha Tsuen Shi and Hung Tin Road/Tin Ying Road.

    The proposed works include widening of a section of Ping Ha Road carriageway with the associated modification of the existing footpaths and cycle tracks; erecting segments of noise barriers at the southern side of the widened Ping Ha Road; and ancillary works including drainage, utilities works and construction of safety islands.

    Sections of the existing carriageway, footpaths and cycle tracks will be temporarily or permanently closed, reconstructed or demolished.

    The plan and scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

(i)  Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;

(ii)  Yuen Long District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Yuen Long District Office Building, 269 Castle Peak Road, Yuen Long; and

(iii) District Lands Office Yuen Long, 9th-11th Floors, Yuen Long Government Offices, 2 Kiu Lok Square, Yuen Long.

    Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th Floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before April 29.
