LCSD offers free use of leisure facilities to support Olympics

    The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will carry out the "Free Admission to LCSD Leisure Facilities" scheme from July 1 to September 30 to allow members of the public to use most of its leisure facilities free of charge so as to support the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, encourage the public to do exercise and promote community sports.

    Under the scheme, the public can enjoy facilities including holiday camps, water sports centres, tennis courts, sports centres and public swimming pools free of charge in sessions that have not been reserved by groups.

    Bookings for July camp facilities comprising the residential, day and evening camps at Lei Yue Mun Park and Holiday Village, Lady MacLehose Holiday Village, Sai Kung Outdoor Recreation Centre and Tso Kung Tam Outdoor Recreation Centre, and the day and tent camps at Chong Hing Water Sports Centre, can be made before March 31 by members of the public.

    Application forms for free use of the holiday camps and campsite of the Chong Hing Water Sports Centre are available at District Leisure Services Offices. They can also be downloaded from the LCSD website, www.lcsd.gov.hk. Please refer to the LCSD website or leaflet or call 2414 5555 for details of the scheme.

    The enrolment method and fees for group bookings of the holiday camps and the Chong Hing Water Sports Centre campsite will remain unchanged.

    Arrangements for the free use of other LCSD leisure facilities will be announced later.
