Police are investigating a traffic accident in Sham Shui Po this afternoon (December 20) in which a 72-year-old woman was injured and later died in hospital.
About 1pm, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 50-year-old man was travelling west on Po On Road. On approaching the junction with Fat Tseung Street, the vehicle hit the woman who was crossing the road.
The woman sustained head injuries and was taken to the Caritas Medical Centre where she was certified dead at 3.28pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic Kowloon West are proceeding.
