Police today (December 20) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Sham Shui Po on December 3 in which a 77-year-old woman was injured and later died in hospital.
About 10.20am, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 28-year-old man was travelling northwest on Yu Chau Street. On approaching the junction with Kweilin Street, the vehicle hit the woman who was crossing the road.
She sustained head injuries and was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital where she was certified dead at 8.25 that night.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic Kowloon West are proceeding.
