Police are investigating a traffic accident in Yuen Long this morning (December 19) in which a man was killed.
About 6.20am, Police received a report that a light goods vehicle travelling along Ma Wang Road towards Tuen Mun hit a 63-year-old man who was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing outside the Long Ping MTR Station. The vehicle drove off after the accident.
The man was taken to Pok Oi Hospital with serious head injuries but was certified dead at 7.02am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are under way.
